Meg and I went to the Woodland Park Zoo on Saturday, as it was a nice day out and we like to see the fancy animals. I took some pictures, which I feel pressed to share at Flickr.

I like how orangutans always have hammocks at the zoo. I don’t think they get hammocks in the wild. Maybe they construct similar things out of vines and such.
Also, tapirs suck. Baby tapirs are awesome.
The gorillas had hammocks too, but I didn’t get any pictures of them. I think the basic idea is that primates enjoy lounging.

for some reason, elephants at the zoo always make me sad, but i love to see them and always visit them when i am there.
loved the hippo pics, tho. there’s nothing like hippos doing their hippo thing to make you smile.
